Gec lives and works in Turin. In 2007 he graduated in Environmental and Landscape Architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin. His work is mainly based on the use of the web in order to involve the public in first person, without which none of his works could exist. The invitations to active participation addressed to the spectator investigate themes such as work, advertising communication, conscious consumption, play; their success depends exclusively on the response of the public and the degree of interest that each project manages to stir up online. The result are works often created in urban space without any authorization, images or environmental installations ironic and dramatic, capable of involving a transversal public through a synthetic and immediate language.
Gec has participated in important exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His exhibitions include “Schermi delle mie brame”, Milan Triennale (2014); “Cala la notte”, Biblioteca Civica Museo Mart, Rovereto (2013); “Epidemic happiness”, Venice Architecture Biennale (2012).
