Collection: Hokkei Totoya

(Edo 1780 - Edo 1850)

One of Hokusai's earliest and best-known students, with a large body of work consisting of prints, book illustrations, and paintings. The Dochu gafu - Albums of Roadside Illustrations are color woodcuts, in two shades of gray and one of pink, reproducing views of places and travelers along the Tōkaidō Road.
