A familiar sight to those traveling the roads at the foot of the 'mountain without equal' in the Kamakura region.

From a clearing in a thick pine forest, the view of the mountain and of commoners intent on picking matsutake , mushrooms: nature and humanity in serene symbiosis.

Matsuyama, although it could be a geographical toponym, is too generic to allow any localization.

Kamakura was the ancient capital of the Ashikaga shoguns (14th/15th century).
