Collection: FLOWERS AND LANDSCAPES PRINTS

Among the original Japanese prints, we offer some refined color and black and white woodcuts with floral and landscape motifs. The splendid nishiki-e contained in Taki Katei's Tansei ippan volumes, which mainly depict birds, flowers and fruits, elegantly rendered sometimes in colour, sometimes with refined shades of black and grey. The Dochu gafu (Album of illustrations along the road) by Hokkei Totoya, one of Hokusai's first and best-known students: they are color woodcuts, in two shades of gray and one of pink, which reproduce views of places and travelers along the road to Tōkaidō. Finally, a selection of minor authors, such as Hasegawa Keika and Mochizuki Gyokusen.
