Collection: KIMONO PATTERN PRINTS
Among the original Japanese prints, we offer some interesting woodblock prints reproducing kimono patterns , combining traditional Japanese motifs with modern Western designs.
The Kōrin-style Patterns ( Kōrin moyō ) by the artist, illustrator and designer Kōrin Furuya: multi-color woodblock prints originally conceived as a collection of textile patterns inspired by Rinpa-style works, which later became very popular among Kyoto kimono designers and makers. The Pattern Book for Textiles (Orimono chō) by Kamisaka Sekka, a Japanese artist and designer, considered the last great proponent of the Rinpa artistic tradition.
Kōrin Furuya (Kaizu 1875-1910)
