In July 2014, JR completed the project “Women are Heroes” at the port of Le Havre. He glued a woman’s eyes on Le Magellan, a 363-meter-long container ship, for a trip around the world. Taking advantage of the exceptional and monumental aspect of the site, JR took a series of photographs with four ballerinas from the Paris Opera Ballet. These containers create a unique atmosphere and invite us to travel.
