Splendid proof with good contrasts, in the third edition from the original woodcuts. Printed on Japan paper, in excellent condition, with clean edges all around beyond the marginal line.

Bales of rice, protected by straw mats, are stacked in the likeness of Fuji, which rises in the background. A flight of small birds ( chidori ) descend to peck the scattered grains.
Senkin literally means a thousand pieces of gold, so by extension priceless gift, priceless generosity.
Concept further strengthened by the use, by Hokusai, of a different ideogram from the one used until now to write the name Fuji; said ideogram has the meaning of "prosperous man".
The generosity of the mountain, already introduced in the previous table, is the concluding theme of the first volume.
