Stoneware, engobe and natural glaze, modelled on the lathe (h 40 mm x Ø 120 mm).
Small stoneware bowl with natural engobe mixed with thermal water and organic plant debris, obtained from earth collected in Acquasanta (Genoa), an ancient area of sulphurous pools, today become the thermal baths of the Ligurian capital. The interior is glazed with natural opaque glaze of red and white kaolin, dolomite and iron oxide.
The local clay has an intense sea scent and when pure has a yellow ochre colour, probably due to the presence of sulphur in the soil.
The firing temperature is 1260 °C. Unique piece.
